Denny's - Plant City

I was there for breakfast this morning and it was great. Cat my server was so sweet. The food came out hot and fast.. I'll definitely be back. We love you Cat

I wish I could give the server five stars. She was fast and thorough with my order. I didn't have to wait very long for anything. The stars are for the salad which looked really tired.

The waitstaff were very friendly and did their best, but the two cooks seemed disorganized, which led to a 50-minute wait for a grilled cheese sandwich and two pancakes. While I was waiting, they were turning people away who were waiting in the lobby for takeout. It was clear that the woman in charge lacked direction and struggled to manage her team. Despite the kind staff, the restaurant was definitely understaffed and unorganized, which I understand can happen. I hope that next time things will be a bit more efficient, but overall, I enjoyed spending time with my friend.

If you have the option, I would recommend choosing another place. I understand it was a Friday night and there were only two servers, but waiting 25 minutes just to place our order, followed by over an hour to receive simple dishes like pancakes and mozzarella sticks, is excessive. The waitress seemed disconnected and unfocused. While I don't want to assume anything about her condition, having worked in the service industry for a decade, I’ve developed a good sense for these situations. I had to ask for my coffee four times and for a side of ranch (which has become the bane of my existence) at least five times. I overheard our waitress attributing the delays to the kitchen several times, but I didn't see a single manager come by to check on the guests. I ordered the sampler platter, but the Buffalo chicken tasted more like it had been coated in salt than flour—it was terrible.

I called the restaurant at 9 PM, having found the number on Google. I ordered two meals and an appetizer, but had to substitute seasoned fries for regular fries because they were out of stock, and sweet corn for onion rings for the same reason. They also didn’t have any onion ring sauce. Since I currently don't have a vehicle, I accepted these inconveniences. I ended up paying over $44. Unfortunately, my food was delivered more than an hour later, cold, and the appetizer was missing. I called the restaurant back, and the woman who answered accused me of lying multiple times and refused to issue a refund for the missing item. I told her to keep the $8 and that I wouldn’t be returning. I will NEVER order from this location again. This was incredibly frustrating.
