Wu Wei Din Chinese Cuisine - Plano

I had been hearing a lot about soup dumplings and decided to give them a try. I ordered both the pork dumplings and the pork and shrimp ones, but instead of the burst of flavors I was expecting, I only got a subtle broth taste. It wasn't what I had hoped for. Thankfully, the cashew basil shrimp dish really saved the meal; it was delectable and packed with layers of flavor. The egg rolls were also excellent, with a light wrapping that wasn’t overly doughy. I’m eager to explore more dishes from their menu.

This is a fantastic restaurant for xiao long bao (soup dumplings), offering both the classic pork option and a delicious pork/shrimp variety. The cucumber salad makes for a refreshing appetizer. In addition to the dumplings, you can also enjoy the noodles with brown meat sauce and beef flat noodles, along with a variety of other dishes to choose from.

The location is conveniently tucked away, making it less likely to be crowded on weekdays, though weekends can be a different experience. The food is both authentic and delicious, which is not something you can say for many other places that may offer authentic dishes but lack great flavor. I highly recommend trying the spicy beef noodle soup and the spicy pork and shrimp wontons—both are excellent choices. For those who don't eat meat, the cucumber salad appetizer is a solid option, even if it may not win you many friends. Additionally, the golden kimchi, leek turnovers, braised pork belly, and beef tripe were all outstanding appetizers.

We checked out them out back in September! They were rated one of Best of Big D in 2022 and everyone recommended the Soup Dumplings and I wasn't disappointed. They were kind and efficient and had your authentic Chinese restaurant feel and not the Chinese American Buffet energy. ⁣⁣FOOD:⁣ Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) in either Pork or Pork and Shrimp One order didn't fill me up plus I shared, but it was yum!⁣ Singapore Noodles Surprisingly really good and probably my fav!⁣ Chicken w/Garlic Sauce? we can't remember but it was the most flavorful item!⁣ Braised Beef Tendon Noodle Soup My husband thought it tasted too beefy (never thought I'd hear that from him), but I thought it was good just needed more spice/flavor⁣

Let's me put some context around this. It's been 3 days since I've had their food and I'm STILL thinking about it. The orange chicken, chicken lo mein, and spicy pork and shrimp wontons in the sauce were so divine. The orange chicken was so good I want to have that sauce on everything. The lo mein was subtle and so delicious. I can't wait to go back. Service was 10/10 as well.
