Oishii Plano

This was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. I strongly recommend making a reservation. If you're seeking a quiet evening, this is NOT the place to go until after 8 PM or so. It has a lively and energetic atmosphere, which can make it hard to hear yourself talk! That said, our server and the manager were incredibly attentive and friendly. They provided great help with the menu and offered excellent recommendations. We were absolutely thrilled with everything we ordered—the egg rolls were fantastic, along with the salmon carpaccio, Himalayan roll, and Tribeca roll. We will definitely be back for another wonderful experience!

During this visit, the service was surprisingly poor. I believe it was mainly due to our server. Our appetizers arrived well after our main course, and we had to inquire about them multiple times. Meanwhile, tables nearby were being served the same appetizers we had ordered, so it was clearly not a kitchen issue. One of our sushi orders never arrived, and our server didn’t even notice when she presented us with the bill, which still listed the missing dish. She seemed unconcerned about the service issues, acting as if these problems were completely normal, even though we've never experienced anything like this in previous visits. The sushi, on the other hand, is outstanding! We probably should have been more assertive about our missing food, but we expected the situation to improve.

The food was served at irregular intervals. I expected all the dishes to arrive together. First, the orange chicken was brought out, but then I had to wait 20 minutes for my overcooked salmon to arrive, and another 20 minutes later, the sushi my husband and daughter ordered finally came out.

Food is great. Restaurant has terrible acoustics and very loud. Table placement awful with a cold draft every time door opened.

The food was great but service was not. Kitchen was slow. It took almost an hour to get our food.
