Hunan Bistro Dallas Xiāng Zhī Xiāng Wèi

I can NOT believe I didn't take a single picture! The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was spicy and well seasoned. We got the fish soup, cabbage, non spicy beef with veggies, walnut shrimp, eggplant, green beans, and with rice of course. Customer service was great, and the food came out fast! I will visit again and bring my family!

Every time I visit, there's a unique flavor to discover. Each dish is worth a taste! The service is attentive and considerate. If we can't finish our meals, they offer to pack it up for us without hesitation. Food: 5/5

Now, let's talk about the food. It's quite impressive. The snail dish is definitely an interesting choice, and it's listed towards the back of the menu. The eggplant dish is okay, but nothing to write home about. The fried rice, on the other hand, is outstanding—one of the best I've had, with excellent wok hei that surpasses most restaurants. While the prices are on the higher side, the portions are generous. For instance, the white fish dish could easily feed three people and comes with plenty of white rice. It was $1 per bowl in November '22 compared to $1 per person in August '23 (not per bowl). Overall, this place is very good. Be sure to try the white fish and fried rice. I dined in on a Monday night, so it was pleasantly quiet. My sister mentioned that it can get quite crowded on Saturday nights.

This restaurant truly captures the essence of Hunan cuisine! It's definitely not Sichuan, but an authentic representation of Hunan flavors. The fish head with two types of peppers is absolutely incredible! The frog, lamb, and hot crispy chicken are outstanding as well. Even the sautéed string beans are elevated to new heights here. To put it simply, if I were a local real estate agent showing potential buyers from California or Jersey City around, I would definitely recommend this bistro to impress them and help close the deal.
