Waxy O'connor's - Plainville

I love Waxy! I've been here since they opened up. It has a comfortable pup ambience and good food. During the week they have a large business clientele, but on weekends you can get a table right away. Recently I visited a pension party here and it was well treated. The lunch buffet was great because it allowed people to mix and talk to everyone. Another great meal.

Nice place. The first time, but will be back. I just docked a star because the Craft Beer selection was so, but the food and service was great. The photo I uploaded is the Rindstroganoff (and the beer is Maine Brewing Company's lunch.

The food was good. Stay at the bar. The points, offers and wings are good. Brussels Sprouts were also delicious. My friend got her Nashville hot sandwich and it looked fantastic. I don't think your seafood is so great.... But it's an Irish pub, what do you expect haha. Great place, friendly staff, good beer selection, and most of their bar food/meat are good.

We went for the first time and had an early dinner. We were immediately welcomed and set. The service was at a good pace to chat, and the food was delicious. I think they used to take negative reviews to heart and make improvements. We will definitely go back.

The layout and atmosphere of this place is very nice. Nice central bar with dispersed seating and some outdoor seating. When there is live music, it is a little bit loud for dining. The food is reasonable, but nothing special. The chicken curry tasted more like a gravy rather than a true curry and was disappointing.
