Gold Meyer's Gourmet Deli - Plainview

I used to visit this restaurant regularly while working in Plainview because the sandwiches were fantastic. However, during my last five visits, they've repeatedly messed up my orders, even though they write everything down. It's disappointing!

The bagels here are great, so I recommend this place if you live in the Hicksville or Plainview area! However, I have an issue with one of the employees. I saw him smoking outside while wearing his apron, and then he came back inside without washing his hands before serving the next customer. That's really unsanitary! I hope the management takes this seriously because I believe this place is better than just offering a generic apology for a bad experience. If they address this issue, I might consider removing this review. It was quite off-putting.

I've visited this restaurant twice in my life. My first experience was fantastic. However, during my second visit a few days ago, I encountered a serious issue. The woman who prepared my sandwich seemed to disregard proper hygiene. She put on gloves but then touched her face, adjusted her clothing, and handled cash without changing them. To make matters worse, she grabbed my debit card covered in sandwich juices and wiped it on her apron. As a result, I've been suffering from severe diarrhea, headaches, chills, and a fever for the past two days. I tested negative for COVID just to be sure. I won't be returning to this restaurant and I urge future customers to be cautious!

Absolutely terrible! They need to fire the entire staff and get people that actually listened. The orders are constantly wrong and the food is subpar. Senses place changed ownership it?s going downhill big time and we don?t go anymore. Every singlereview mentions terrible service maybe the owner needs to wake up and smell the coffee no pun intended.

I wasn’t particularly impressed, but I’d be willing to give it another shot. The bagels were hard and stale, as were the muffins. I might return to try their salads and a sandwich, but when it comes to breakfast, I'm not so keen.
