Delicia Mexican Grill - Plainfield

This new restaurant was referred for their food and service. I WARN YOU. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. This restaurant is ran like a DAYCARE. nobody knows what the hell is going on. Our food was ordered after 4 drinks and they LOST 1/2 of our ordered food. Drinks made we're sitting on the bar20 min after being made. What A complete SH*T SHOW! RUN RUN. WHAT A WASTE. Nothing was ever cleaned. Same blender for all drinks NEVER RINSED. Nor did I see the employees wash their hands. It's time for the local health inspectors to visit this hole in the wall. Look at the NASTY floors when you walk in. This restaurant is taking up good real estate space and needs to GO!

If you like Mexican food and good service, this is the place to go. The quality and taste of the food was very good. Portion size was also good. The chips are fresh made, light and warm. The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had. It was fresh, had chunks of avocado and the amount was ample. The menu offers many options. There is a lunch menu available with more than 10 options. The drinks were good. We were in a group of 20 and there were no detractors as to wanting to return! Our server, Amy, was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The ambiance is warm and comfortable. I recommend you try this establishment.

When we walked in, it was dark and LOUD because it was karaoke night. We were a bit lost since there was no hostess or staff in sight. We made our way to the back by the bar and asked if we could sit anywhere. A woman curtly told us to go back to the front and that she would help us. This interaction felt quite dry and rude, and we exchanged skeptical glances. However, she followed us back to the front, only to lead us right back to the back and seat us at the table we had been eyeing. The menu on the phone had updated prices, but it was a bit confusing, so we found the paper menu much clearer. We ordered a chimichanga meal, a Delicia's fajita combo, and two single orders of steak tacos, along with drinks. Everything arrived quickly, but getting service from our waitress was like pulling teeth! The steak tacos were disappointing—I wouldn't order those again. The steak was definitely not grade A; more like B or even C quality! However, my fajita combo was fantastic! It was fresh, flavorful, and abundant. The other dish looked good too, as the person I was with licked his plate clean, which made us laugh. The karaoke was a lot of fun! I would definitely return just to enjoy the ambiance and laughs again. There were some colorful characters among the patrons, and in the end, our waitress turned out to be friendly—albeit a bit scatterbrained but in a bubbly way.

Wasted SO much time at this restaurant today. If the manager would have just been honest we would have understood. However we were told it would be a 10 minute wait and 40+ minutes later we left because we saw to many issues and were ignored the entire wait. UberEats orders sat an hour and they let the food go out? Manager needs to communicate with customers. There were a lot of people coming in looking confused and not one person greeted a single person. Delivery people were ticked off too. Never going back.

Check out this Mexican place, and you'll know the name is correctomundo. Delicia is exactly that and has a fun atmosphere, if anyone is actually here. It has some fairly Americanized yet still good Mexican food like burritos, fajitas, and more. Good prices for the most part and there's specials where you can save mucho dinero. There's a few good things for vegetarians including the favorites you know and love. Get here at lunch and take advantage of the specials they have going on such as burritos. If you're here at lunch you can get some good prices on drinks and food. There's always margaritas. It has several different flavors. They have a House Margarita. It's $8 and you can get some pretty good tequila in it. The lunch menu includes a Vegetarian Burrito, something that helps bring in some more people. It's about $10 and is pretty big. This has black beans or retried beans, lettuce, rice, and tomatoes. Has pretty good prices on the lunch menu. It's a pretty good time for checking what's going on. The lunch menu has the best stuff but be sure to try as much as possible.
