Contribuiți la feedbackToday I went downtown Pittsburgh and had some of the best pizza in town. Villa Reale Pizzeria &Restaurant or as my husband calls it Pizza Villa is a hidden treasure. The crust was cooked to perfection. The sauce has a light tomato taste and very seasoned but not over powering. I got pepperoni/capicola ham and hot peppers on the side. I love when you taste toppings in every bite. This place has a Mom and Pop family owned type of atmosphere. I've missed that as alot of places have closed. I went around 2pm and didn't wait long for my Pizza. I highly recommend Villa Reale it's also family friendly.
Yikes. Empty at noon on a Friday, yet took nearly ten minutes for a $5 poorly reheated slice of old pepperoni. Truly a terrible piece of pizza. Cheese wasn’t even re-melted. Gross, thick soggy dough. Too much cheese. Drenched in grease. I literally gave it to a homeless person after two bites. Annoyed I paid $5 for it. Oh and aside from the pizza I got to listen to some yonder hicks spread misinformation about trans people. Very loudly. Not a friendly vibe inside at all. Embarrassing excuse for a neighborhood pizza place. I assure you the review is more about the pizza quality than the atmosphere, but it didn’t help.
The slices are huge. Two slices are enough for most people
A downtown treasure. The front from Smithfield can give the mis impression of takeout pizzaria but it's so much more. Once you get beyond the lunch counter it's a lively sit-down restaurant and bar with excellent entree offerings. The gnocchi is a nice treat with excellent sauce and and an option to add a hearty meatball or toe and always comes with a large, fresh, delicious salad and a full personal loaf of garlic bread. It can't be beat.
Wanted a change from my usual lunch spot and so used the Slice app to find this place. Ordered 2 slices online and went there to pick up. Clean and very nice space inside, good food options for the price, love the bar space so that solo customers can enjoy food there. Customer service was good, they were getting busy as it was 12.15. Took my piping hot pizza slices to the outside seating at Mellon Square to enjoy. The slices are big, I could have been full with just one slice. The crust is thicker and had plenty of sauce and cheese so made it floppy, youI have to fold it to eat a slice. Overall, good place downtown for Italian food, nice prices and on the app I got 2 slices for under $7 out the door. if you want Italian, try this place.
