The Pretzel Shop - Pittsburgh

Seemed nice. But, nearly every time I’ve been by during normal daylight hours when any reasonable business would be open, it’s closed. And the one time it was open, I had to walk an extra half hour to the bank because in 2023 they can’t be bothered to use cards like any modern place and insist on cash. Then, in the end, my pretzel was cold anyway and so was the cheese sauce. Has so much potential, but don’t waste your time getting excited about this place like I did. You’ll only be disappointed.

About once a month I get some pretzel dogs, hot sausage sandwiches, and plain bagels for making other sandwiches. They are always fresh, fast, and consistent.

Happy to see this shop is still in business. They sold pretzels outside my school in the fifties, and they were a staple of my daily diet for years. A stop at this shop is still a must, I have never found anything that compares.

This restaurant serves the best pretzels! In addition to delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches, they also offer veggie pizza, cookies, and other great food options. Owned by a small family, they also provide party trays and catering services. I absolutely love this place!

I absolutely adore The Pretzel Shop in Southside! I have been a loyal customer since I was a child. I recently visited again and was delighted to find that everything was just as wonderful as I remembered. The pretzels were still as delicious as ever.
