The Melting Pot Pittsburgh

It wouldn't have been so awesome and grear without Danny's service. He was knowledgeable and pleasant. Give that man a raise!

I went to the Melting Pot with my son and my husband. Our meal cost nearly $200 and we got the prix fix restaurant week menu. My husband did get a Blue Moon beer. It’s a neat experience and the wait staff was lovely. However, we overcooked the proteins because of scary warning on the menu and the ‘special’ menu doesn’t include a cheese course. A no-cheese fondue? I say fondue, everyone says cheese. I can boil my own over-salted meat bits at home, for so much cheaper. The salad was nice, but over priced, and the best bit was the chocolate fondue. In the end we spent $200 for a nice patio (we have one at home) completely hammered proteins, 2 waters and a beer. Ridiculously overpriced.

My sister, daughter and I went to the melting pot today for our last hurrah before we head back to school. We had an amazing server Sid/Sidney. She was attentive, kind, knowledgeable and a great pleasure to have as our server. The food was good and we just had an enjoyable day. Thanks to Sid who made our day great.

Fantastic atmosphere, patient server explaining a menu that was a little complicated and the food was consistently excellent for all courses.

Food was yummy, drink was yummy. I love the Melting Pot!
