Tan Lac Vien - Pittsburgh

I visited a restaurant that offers a separate vegan menu, which was convenient. However, I wasn't particularly impressed by the food. Having spent time in Vietnam, I may be a bit spoiled, as the dishes we ordered, while tasty, weren't extraordinary. I recommend asking for some chili oil from the kitchen if you enjoy spicy food - it really elevated the flavors by adding a kick to the meal.

One thing to note for transparency - although it didn't bother us personally, some may be put off by the dingy and dirty men's restroom. On the other hand, my wife mentioned that the women's restroom was spacious and clean. From our seats, we could see into the kitchen which appeared to be in pristine condition, and that is what truly matters. Kudos to Tan Lac Vien for providing a fantastic new dining experience.
