Red, The Steakhouse Pittsburgh

It was restaurant week, and our server informed us that Red had brought in employees from an Indianapolis restaurant to help accommodate the influx of customers. The food was excellent! However, the service started out well but quickly declined. Our appetizer boards were never cleared, our water glasses went unrefilled, and we had to wait far too long for our iced tea to be replenished. Our dinner plates also remained on the table for a long time. We had to ask three times for the coffee we had ordered with dessert. The service simply did not meet the standards expected of an upscale steakhouse. Although they made an effort to bring in staff from other restaurants to attract customers, I do not plan to return. The poor service overshadowed what could have been a great meal!

Great food. went for restaurant week and had the filet. perfectly cooked. they are waiting staff and management very friendly.

Well...it is the stereotype of what every “modern” steakhouse is shooting for. Cold setting with little ambiance. Service is good and the steaks are solid. Good food, good service but the sharp lines and aluminum look of these very repeatable steak houses are getting very stale.

The restaurant was beautiful and modern and the food was amazing. We've been to several high quality places over the years, and this is top notch. The steak and sides were amazing- the salad, dessert and vegetables were amazing. Highly recommend!

Great place for a nice night outside. Eating and drinks were both great.
