J. Gough's Tavern - Pittsburgh

I happened to drop by for drinks and a snack on a night when they were hosting an Irish-style open mic. It was a delightful experience with a fantastic Irish atmosphere. However, I did notice that there were no Irish dishes on the menu. The wings we ordered were reheated, making them a bit rubbery, but everything else we tried was quite good and served promptly. Overall, the service was excellent. I also appreciated the nicely updated ladies' room.

This restaurant has the best selection of bourbon and scotch, and the prices aren't outrageously high. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Food rating: 5/5.

Fantastic service! The music is incredible! There’s a vast selection of delicious options to choose from, with everything you could possibly crave! The menu items are absolutely amazing! Enjoy live music every Friday, along with a great atmosphere and refreshing drinks!

Excellent staff, great food and an exceptional bourbon selection at really good price points.

Decided to go out to eat with my siblings, and this place peeked my interest. The food was outstanding and the service was great! I love the tone of the restaurant, I will be back when I’m of age to drink! My brother’s fiance had a drink and she loved it! Thanks for the great experience!
