They also served me a plain bagle when I ordered a cinnamon rasin, and burned it too. This was after they got my order wrong, and burned it the day before
The breakfast sandwiches at this restaurant are delicious, and I also enjoyed the cinnamon bagel. However, they do not offer dine-in service and there are signs on the door recommending masks, yet none of the employees were wearing them. It seems they are not taking COVID-19 precautions seriously, like many others.
I had a frustrating experience at this restaurant. They accidentally gave my latte to someone else, taking a long time before deciding to remake it. My bagel was disappointing, with barely any cream cheese and burnt. My husband's sandwich had two different bagel halves, one larger than the other and neither was a proper bagel top. My sister was told they were out of tomatoes for her sandwich, even though my friends received tomatoes on theirs. She asked for tomato spread instead, was charged for it, and didn't receive it. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Bruegger's.
Today, my wife and two children (ages 10 and 12) arrived at the restaurant for breakfast. Upon opening the door, we were informed that there was a large online order and it would be at least 15-20 minutes before they could serve us, even though the restaurant was empty. I asked if they could accommodate us while working on the online order, but received dismissive and condescending responses from the employees. When I requested to speak to a manager, I was told they were busy. The server then called me an offensive name as we were leaving in front of my children. I insisted on speaking to the manager, who apologized and offered to take our order after denying the server's behavior. This experience led me to give a one-star review.
We went on a Sunday and expected it to be busy and I understand and am sympathetic that there?s staffing shortages, so we weren?t surprised to find a long line and wait no problem. But the counter girl was rude and the guy making the food had his mask below his chin (despite having a mask mandate for customers). They ran out of eggs while we were waiting, so we ordered two bagels with cream cheese. We were annoyed to find that there was the smallest amount of cream cheese on the bagels after we left. Literally almost none. What a waste of $17. We will never be back.
