Contribuiți la feedbackWe had our daughter's birthday brunch with 11 of her closest friends. They sat them on the patio, it was the perfect setting! The waitress was very attentive and the service was great! Of course we couldn't leave without taking some amazing pictures! Perfect brunch spot! ?
Not sure why the ratings on this place are so low. The food was so freaking delicious when i went. So much flavor and creativity. I had a PUMPKIN SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE LATTE wasn't a big fan of that but then again i don't drink lattes. I had a SMOKED BACON, FONTINA CHEDDAR CHEESE OMELET it was so good , the eggs were so fluffy ! I also had PEACH AND BACON PANCAKES and it was the best thing i had in a long time , it had the right amount of sweetness and the bacon was the perfect touch ! My friend had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was so well seasoned and well cooked . Be aware that this place is cash only , a lot of people complained about the tight space but that didn't bother me , i went there to eat not to have a party . I also noticed in the menu that they had chef of the month , so I'm not sure if they change chefs every so often and that's why the complains about the food. But when i went the chef was Nia Thomas and her food was so delicious !
Food was good n the servers. Horrible owners. Treat employees harshly and break labor laws daily. Be careful with the wine. Kept in moldy basement. Make COVID employees work. Extremely hot in the summer. No air conditioning.
Food was excellent 4 stars. We had the short rib and cheddar omelet. The pumpkin french toast, the salmon and egg toast. and a regular order of pancakes. All very good. Food highly recommended. Unfortunately service was a 1 star. For this we will not return. Came for breakfast poured water and walked away. Keep looking for server. Never offered coffee or anything but the water. Never came back after giving our token cup to ask if we wanted more coffee or tea. Could understand if they were busy. But there was literally only 2 tables with 2 people at each table in the restaurant. After dropping off food didn't come back to the table until it was time to give us the check
I had been reading so many great reviews about Milkweed, so I decided to give it a try. We didn't need any reservations, and we were seated fairly quick. My first impression was disappointment. From the pictures on the website, and on Yelp and Google I thought the place would be more spacious. The place is really cramped. I didn't want to take any pictures of the inside, because it was so crowded, and I didn't want to annoy people taking pictures of the inside of the place. Needless to say, it is very cramped. Especially at lunch time, which is when I went, you're right on top of people. Also, there's no AC. They could really use a fly exterminator, because there seemed to be an abundance of them. So right off the bat, I must say I was a little disappointed. It's very noisy in there as well, because you're so cramped. Don't expect to have a quiet brunch. We went on a weekday afternoon at 11:00, thinking that would be a good time to have brunch, but the place was packed. I figured that the food would make up for the disappointment I felt at the ambience of the place. The aesthetics were just okay, but it didn't look like the pictures on the website. The biggest problem was the amount of flies that you had the bat away from your food. It made any expectation of an enjoyable meal moot. I was expecting dynamite food because the place was so full. We started off with coffee, and two appetizers. I got the peaches and ricotta $12), and my guest ordered the cream filled donuts $7). The ricotta wasn't sweetened, but the peaches were sort of there to add some sort of sweetness. I ended up having to put sugar on it to make it taste like a confection for the toast 4 half slices)????. The cream filled donuts were very good, and they paired well with the weak coffee. They had lemon shavings on them with cream inside. I would get the donuts again, but not the peaches. For our entrees, I ordered the short rib omelette $16), and my guest ordered the steak and egg ranchero
