Caffetteria Museo Marino Marini

Had lunch in their lovely atmosperic garden, which has plenty of seating and shade. Which is very welcome under the hot Tuscan sun. Products consist of high quality homemade stuff. We didn't try the homemade cookies as we went for the homemade bread with cheeses (simple but delicious). Cappuccino and tea were excellent too. Superfriendly staff. Not expensive at all. We only stayed in Pistoia for one day. Otherwise we would have returned here the next day for sure. The cafeteria entrance is separate from the Marini museum entrance. So cafetaria can be visited also when you don't want to go into the museum.

We stayed at a Pistoia B&B that didn't serve breakfast, so we went walking, saw the sign and walked in. Our experience was so pleasant, the food (and coffee) was so good, the staff was so friendly and the chef was so accommodating that we ate there four times (2 breakfasts, 2 dinners) during our 3-day stay. And, Mara and Lorella's homemade cookies (Biscotto farcito con nocciole) are amazingly delicious. Don't be misled by the simple entrance and small sign; go in and enjoy.

Every time I visit the Museo Marino Marini, I stop at this cafe (which is fairly often). They make fresh simple dishes, primi and secondi, as well as sandwiches and sweets. One of my favorite things is the fresh artisan bread that is served with your meal. It's so good! I was just there yesterday and I got the Pasta alla Pugliese which was simple but tasty. The cafe is half inside a loggia with a tented area in the small adjacent garden, which always seems to have blooming flowers. My only complaint about this place is that the service is a bit slow. They are always very friendly, but just a little slow (even for Italian standards). If you aren't in a rush (if so grab a panino per portare via), I highly recommend this caffetteria for a nice simple tasty meal in Pistoia.

Nice place to relax outside in the garden...and very nice schiacciatas... especially the dark ones ...

Situated right next to the seriously underrated Marini Museum, this is truly a heaven to relax. There's a lovely garden filled with flowers, tables all around, very quiet and peaceful. Service is friendly, prices mild.
