Mother's Day Buffet, May 10, 2015. My 82-year-old mother wanted to go to the Park for her favorite dish, catfish. We arrived around 4 PM, and the waitress informed us that fresh food would be available soon. Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes were dried out with brown edges, and the salad toppings, along with the dressing, were warm! Rather than listing all the issues, I'll simply say that everything that was supposed to be hot was cold, and everything that should have been cold was hot. The catfish was so chilled that the oil in the pan appeared white! After several complaints, they finally brought out fresh fish, but it was unusable because it was fried in old oil, covered in burnt bits. My poor mother was incredibly disappointed, and I felt embarrassed for bringing her there! The meal cost us $120 for six people! In response to our complaints about the price, the waitress offered a 30% discount, but the manager didn’t even bother to come to our table. After leaving the Park, I took Mom to Dairy Queen, where she found something she could actually eat for just $6! In hindsight, we should have gone there in the first place—the food was a hundred times better!

I celebrated Mother's Day in 2019, and the experience was fantastic. The food was exceptional and everything was incredibly fresh. The service was wonderful, too; despite the large crowd, the staff ensured that everyone was taken care of promptly. I really love going there for both the atmosphere and the delicious food. It truly was the best Mother's Day I've ever had!

Definitely worth a visit for the stunning view and excellent hiking! However, the lunch buffet was a bit inconsistent. Unfortunately, some items missed the mark, including dry rolls and very bland (likely canned) green beans and corn. On the brighter side, the buffet had some hits: nicely breaded and well-seasoned catfish (though it was cold), creamy whipped mashed potatoes, and a delightful potato soup with large chunks of potato.
