I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this charming little restaurant! It's true that the French toast was soaked in egg wash before cooking instead of being dipped, but it came in thick slices and was served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, making it quite delicious. The portions were generous enough to easily satisfy two people, though they do offer half portions if you prefer. The service was also excellent; I felt a bit sorry for my server as my daughter tried to engage him in conversation and wish him well while he was clearly busy. However, he handled it with grace, and it seemed to brighten his day. Overall, I highly recommend this dining experience to anyone considering a meal here. Just keep in mind that they close at 2:00 PM.

A major perk of Darbi is that you can get burgers and fries during breakfast! As a side note, the parking lot is a bit unusual; be sure to turn around at the large sign on the highway. There are parking spaces available on both sides of the building. The menu was extensive and varied, and we were not disappointed with our food. We ordered the Jalapeno Burger, Western Burger, Country Scramble, and Corned Beef Hash. The Jalapeno Burger was generously sized (1/2 lb as per the menu), and the bun was incredibly soft. It was cooked perfectly, as we hadn’t specified otherwise. The burger was topped with a generous amount of jalapeno rings (raw and seeded for heat), a dollop of cream cheese, and two large slices of bacon, plus a tasty bacon-wrapped jalapeno popper. The straight fries had a wonderful thick, crispy exterior and were plentiful. The burger was served with lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion on the side. The Western Burger was also a good size (again, a 1/2 lb patty as stated). The bun was soft and the burger cooked to perfection. It featured two large slices of bacon, cheddar cheese, onion straws, and a liberal amount of BBQ sauce. Since we took our food to-go, by the time we got home, the bun had become a bit soggy from the excess BBQ sauce. The curly fries were excellent and crispy on the outside, and this burger also came with salad, tomatoes, and red onion on the side. The Country Scramble was quite tasty. It had just the right amount of pepper without being overwhelming. Although it contained sausage, I only found two pieces about the size of ping pong balls, so if you're looking for a hearty breakfast option, you might want to choose something else. However, I still thought the scramble was very good. The biscuit on the bottom was super fluffy and thick (it was served open-faced). It came with a choice of potatoes, and we opted for the potato cake. The potato cake was good but not what I expected. It seemed to be made from dense hash browns mixed with cheese, spices, and green onions, shaped into a cake and covered with cheese. Lastly, we tried the Corned Beef Hash. It was different from the canned variety, but still good. It came with two eggs cooked to order and a choice of potatoes (we chose hash browns). We also had the option of sides, and we picked the mini pancakes, which were about 3 or 4 inches in diameter and came with a choice of maple or boysenberry syrup. They asked if we needed napkins and utensils for the to-go order, which we didn’t, so they weren’t provided. However, we did get mayo, ketchup, and mustard in the bag. Overall, I was quite pleased with everything, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes.
