Mary River Roadhouse - PINE CREEK

The accommodation was budget-friendly, with a dorm room featuring 2 bunk beds priced at $30 per person. However, the room was very basic, with only the bunk beds and air conditioning provided. The overall facility was in need of serious refurbishment and maintenance, with many items broken or missing such as screen doors, refrigerator shelves, and seats. The amenities were quite basic, with limited cooking options other than a BBQ, thin mattresses, and bunk beds missing ladders. The staff were friendly, and there were vegan options available on the restaurant menu which looked appealing.

The next restaurant is located a few hours away, but it's worth stopping here for a break. Whether you need food, fuel, or a restroom break, this place has it all. The prices are not cheap, but you can expect to pay about 50% more than what you would in Katherine. The meals are good and the facilities are clean. We stopped here on our way to Kakadu and thought Katherine was just a quick stop for food. Good thing we filled up on fuel before arriving here.

A group of us was on a Saturday evening in the mary river roadhouse while enjoying a weekend in kakadu in the wet season. christy and tony were very helpful everywhere. when we were a big group, Christy asked us to confirm with our booking what...as we would eat with them and we also pre-ordered our meals on the day of arrival to support their planning. the rooms were beautiful and clean, excellent air conditioning, helpful service with a smile. the meals were in pub-style house cooked relaxed meals and were enjoyed by all! this is a special small retaining place, full of charm and real hospitality. a place where you can share a beer with the locals, have a garnish or two and enjoy a clean and picturesque outback roadhouse. we enjoyed our stay so and would definitely recommend. thank you christy and tony.

We drove through kakadu. they have a large selection of food there from sandwiches to fried materials. owners were extremely helpful in the excitement of activities and things to see kakadu. beautiful environment and well maintained garden and swimming pool, barbecue area.

The first thing was getting fuel for the car, but after that a coffee and tea. Service was friendly and they had a good collection of 3D postcards.
