Parrilla La Roca - Piloña

You HAVE to stop here, the meat is absolutely AMAZING! The people working there are so funny, you will have the time of your life having lunch here. Everything is great, and not too expensive! A must go!

We were driving about sightseeing for the day and chose to stop here for lunch as we were passing as it looked 'busy enough '. The place was absolutely heaving! We waited about 5 minutes for them to relay a table for us in the bar area. Shortly after there were groups of people queueing at the bar for tables again. We shared a salad, a single ration of grilled meat and some calamari between 3 of us. The meat platter was huge, but absolutely delicious as was the salad and calamari. We found the staff friendly and patient despite them being run off their feet. This is another place we want to revisit next time we are in Asturias.

El Secreto means The Secret in Spanish. I titled it El Secreto because this place is a nice well kept secret AND because there is a cut of meat from a pig known as El Secreto in Spain. This was my first time having it and I can 't wait to get back over there so I can have it again! It was cooked on an indoor grill and was perfect! My wife had what they call Escalope Milanesa. These are two pieces of breaded veal stuffer with serrano ham and manchego cheese. I guess you can call it the Spanish version of a cordon blue! The food and service was so good that we stopped in for breakfast and on the way back from our excursion we stopped for dinner!

Daily menu good and economic. Each landlord has a wide letter and wood meat. amazing attention I recommend 100x100
