As soon as you approach the place (they have several shops around town) you can hear the well selected music on their playlist. Very enjoyable mix of smooth jazz, pop or the like.Once you enter the shop you can immedately smell the coffee, excellent qualtity coffee. I bet it has a lot to do with the high quality italian espresso machines they have.Although it is formally a bakery, you can picture this as a smaller scale lil' starbucks-type coffee shop. Complete with all the varieties of coffee and tea beverages, as well as a good selection of sandwiches, salads and CAKE.One thing... service. There's a good opportunity to improve service. It seems to me that they have a staff of many new employees who need to work on service attitude. Some others are pretty good and make for a very pleasant experience.Overall, great coffee, large variety, great mood, room for improvent on service.

I have been in two of the Nonpareils' stores here in Piedras Negras at least twice in the past 2 months.First impression is you get into a very cozy and enjoyable place to have a sandwich, iced tea, a coffee and dessert. The quality of the offer there is remarkably good for the city's standards, can compete at levels of San Antonio, Austin or Monterrey. To this pont, all is good. The problem is the staff: kind of stuck-up and at the downtown's store, the guy who seems to be the manager is very rude. It's OK if they don't have something on the menu available but I think a "Sorry, we don't have this today but I can offer you this" is way better than "We don't serve it today, come back another day". The other store, near the Home Depot, is attended by a group of very young and inexperienced girls that don't understand what attention to customers is.If you can stand for rude treatment, go there, If you like me think that good quality food has always to be complemented with a courteous and attentive service to have a them as a no-brainer choice, the place doesn't worth the visit.

Excelente café, deliciosos pasteles y lugar agradable :) Recomiendo el pastel envinado es dulce, mas no empalagoso, también los sándwich tienen un aderezo delicioso.
