Belaggios Gelato - Pickering

Not a great customer experience. Elderly lady at the counter was very patronizing. Even correcting how I pronounced what I ordered (and not in a polite way). Thanks for the experience. I’ll add it to my repertoire of amazing treatment I get as a person of colour.Food was fine. I just wish I could eat it without tasting the racism.

Ordered 3 veal sandwiches with cheese, mushroom, onions. It was pretty expensive coming in at just under 50 dollars.The sandwiches aren’t as good as they once were years ago. They the veal was really dry and could have used more sauce. I couldn’t taste the Parmesan either.The service is great. While waiting for my sandwich I saw the lady at the front speak to everyone that came in. She knows all her regulars on a first name basis.

Came for the Gelato and found rice balls too! Cute little shop, friendly and informative staff. I wish the Gelato cups were a bit bigger for the price but still very good. We got the cherry cheese cake and birthday cake and both were delicious. Rice balls came with marinara sauce on the side which was really good too. For 2 medium Gelato and 2 cheese rice balls it came to about $24.

We had ordered the pasta and a veal sandwich and let me tell you we were beyond pleased with the service and food. It’s hard to find a good Italian place out in the east end but if you are in search this is the place to go to, they also have gelato which I’m looking forward to trying. Great job! I will definitely be a regular.

Bit pricey for just a veal on a bun. They should offer a side for that price. Food was really good. Over $65.00 for 4 veal on a bunch.
