Trinacria - PIAZZA ARMERINA

What a fabulous meal. We stopped here and the family couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating . Super food but massive portions !

After our visit to Villa Romana del Casale we went to the restaurang Agriturismo Trinacria at Piazza Armerina. We had a tasty antipasto with red wine to lunch. Nice environment in their garden.Friendly staff.

We had just finished at the Roman Mosaics which took a little longer than we planned so were a bit late for lunch but the lovely staff took great care of us quickly preparing a table and offering cool drinks. The choice of choice was great and the pasta we chose with wind fennel and fresh sausage meat was quite simply the best we had all week on our trip to Sicily. The caponata was also well worth an honourable mention

A very delightful surprise on the way to Casa Romana del Casale. Locally grown greens(yes,you can see where they grow! and meat from the local producers. No additives, just genuine flavours of the region. The restaurant is run by friends inspired by the love of the true regional cuisine. Season's produce decides what's om the daily menu. Welcoming staff, good service. Excellent coffee too! We had different choices and the hommade sausage was very tasty. Best pasta alla Norma ever and true flavours of the rich sun and land in the bruschetta and olive oil. Lovely place and warmly recommended!
