United Club - Phoenix

This is a very decent lounge the front desk was very welcoming when I arrived, and the lounge staff are constantly servicing the dining area. I found a little nook to work, so I didn't expect them to clear my dishes as often. The food was decent a spicy chicken and sausage jambalaya, pasta salad, as well as the usual snacks (veggies, cheese, crackers, cookies, water). The interior is a bit dated, but lots of comfy chairs and outlets everywhere. I like that one end of the lounge has TVs and groups/families talking, and it gradually quiets down so that the other end is a business/working area.

This is a smaller lounge in Terminal 2 so there isn't a lot of space and the offerings are light. However, the bartenders are always good and it beats sitting out in the crowded, older terminal.

I tend to concur with the other reviews. Small lounge and the wait staff does not clear tables regularly. The bartender was super nice though and very personable. Liked him a lot. Better than sitting at the gate but a rather unremarkable club.

I'm drinking an espresso as I write this review. Just enjoyed a vegetable soup with a side of crackers and hummus. Private. Clean. Quiet. Full bar. Newspapers. TV's. Business section. Mi piace molto.

This United Club feels worn out and just has a fresh coat of paint. The entire terminal really needs a complete renovation. Given how much United charges for flights to Phoenix, both the terminal and the lounge should be significantly better and at least twice the size. While the staff is friendly, the lounge itself falls short due to its limited size and lack of amenities.
