The only downside was that the bread-to-meat ratio was a bit off, but I appreciated the chunks of peppers and onions mixed with the cheese sauce. As for the fries, there were quite a few, but some were overcooked. I really should have gone with the sweet potato fries instead. I also tried their version of French onion soup, which was unique with small pieces of roast beef included. It came with the sandwich, but I would have preferred the soup to be served as an appetizer before the main course. Who wouldn't? On a positive note, I enjoyed an ice-cold beer, and I was lucky enough to hit happy hour pricing of $4.25 for the first brew (though it increased to $5.50 for my second—unfortunately, I didn't keep a detailed receipt). I really appreciate that Tukee's doesn't charge extra fees for using debit or credit cards, unlike some other local spots like Philly's Sports Bar and Bleacher’s Sports Bar Grill. Tukee’s is my preferred choice over those places, offering better food, similar cold drinks, and superior service. In total, my bill for the soup, sandwich, fries, and two 22oz beers after tax was just over $32.
It was a Good Friday night experience if you want the local night life scene that is also kid friendly. We got there and the lady said seat yourself, kind of weird because we had no idea where open tables were but we sat down. I was crowded and tooksome time to get drinks ordered. And they didn?t take our appetizer order, so they were ordered with our food and came at thesame time. That never works. The food was just ok. Not bad at all but not amazing. I got the Piggy Burger that had pulled porkon it. I ate the whole thing but it was just average. My wife got the tacos, they were dry and she didn?t finish them. My songot the wings and loved them. Daughter got a burger and was happy. Beer and cocktails were reasonably priced and there wasn?t along wait. It?s worth going there.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years, but today was extremely disappointing. I found two long black hairs in my AZ Burger. When I returned it, Courtney asked if I wanted a replacement, but I declined because I had lost my appetite. My wife's dish was fine, but I was shocked to see I was still charged for my meal. I expressed my disappointment and ended up paying a $15 tab along with over a 20% tip. It felt like I would have been charged for the meal regardless! I didn’t see any effort made to make me feel valued as a customer.
I met some friends there for happy hour and then watched the Thursday night NFL game. The weather was pleasant, so we enjoyed sitting on the patio, and both the food and drinks were fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised by the affordable bill! Tukee's is situated on a busy corner, so in addition to the loud TVs, we also had to deal with the sounds of sirens frequently passing by. Despite that, I still recommend the place and look forward to returning.
I visited for the first time and it certainly won't be my last! It's a lovely place, very clean, with excellent service and delicious food!
