Meritage an Urban Tavern at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa

Service was slow and we never received part of our order, despite two requests. Eating was just okay. This restaurant was not in place with the other restaurants the resort

On February 15th. The special was a $30 steak, 1/2 lobster dick, asparagus, and potato bread meal. We selected the special, but first ordered the mussels appetizer. The shells were based in a mustard sauce and were excellent. The duck was good except for the lobster. It was less than fresh, i.e. it was almost sponge, not firm as you would expect from fresh lobster. Our guess is that the lobster has perhaps been left out of a suspicious Valentine's Day, which was the day before.

Mediocre, overpriced food. I wouldn't recommend it. They undoubtedly rely on the imprisoned audience of the hotel.

It was amazing!! The best meal I had all week! The presentation was excellent and it tasted even better!! Highly recommend!!

Great service. Excellent cocktail ,wine ,beer offerings. Nice environment with outdoor seating and fire pits. Ordered the Cobb salad was served with all the salad pushed to one side and half and egg in the middle of the plate. Looked like it had spilled. Other than that the food was fine. Did bring our entrees within minutes of our cheese board so not ideal. Service otherwise Excellent
