Gayosso's Mexican Food - Phoenix

I visited this restaurant after reading all the reviews, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. It wasn't awful, but the food lacked flavor and spice. We were also bothered by flies buzzing around, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. The food didn't taste authentic; my meat was dry and bland, and the salsas were flavorless. The only highlight was the pico de gallo, which was actually quite good. Overall, I was disappointed.

My daughter-in-law recommended this restaurant, and my husband and I absolutely loved it! If you're craving your mother's caldo de rez and sopes, this is the perfect spot for authentic comfort food. It's a wonderful family-run business, and we will definitely return!

Sign isn't visible from the street so we passed it had to go around the block. Parking is confusing because there is gravel open space, an auto shop, then the restaurant.Dine in take out available. Given menus for dine in. Sat where we liked. Food brought out pretty quickly.Tacos were delicious! LOVED the quisibirria!

First time going and by far the most authentic Mexican restaurant I've tried in Arizona. The menudo was to die for, meat was soft and well cooked, the flavor I just can't even say how delicious it was. You must try this family restaurant.Food: 5/5
