Game Seven Grill - Phoenix

The place is always very busy. Considering it has limited hours,seems they could hire a few more servers.We were seated next to an exit,constant distractions.

A great atmosphere and great location. Bar food but at a bit higher scale and quality. A fun spot especially if you are also going to a Dback game.

Having the table reserved is a definite when attending before a D-Backs game. The crowd was energetic and the ambiance was what you would expect before a ball game. However, the food was average with a limited menu. The burger I had was good as was the Nacho appetizer. However my friend had the brisket sandwich and the beef was roughly 1/3 fat. They did a poor job of trimming the brisket. Value for the location seems to be about right for the location. Service was rather poor as we waited for quite some time for the food to arrive as well as to have drink orders refilled. Let's face it before a ball game, what do you think most people are there for... We also sat and waited for roughly 12-15 min. to pay the check after it was brought to the table. While the wait staff was extremely friendly and built a good rapport with patrons, I think they may have been understaffed.

I read several of the reviews, both good and bad, for Game 7 Grill. I don't know what people were expecting, but my party all thought that it was good pub food. We were on our way to a AZ Diamondbacks game and wanted something close to the park. You can't get much closer than right outside of the gate. I have a food allergy, so I called a few days before the game to see what they had to offer me. I had to leave a message because they had not opened yet for the day and a short time later received a call back from the sous chef to answer my questions. He also emailed me a list of the menu items that I was safe to order. Talk about service! We also got excellent service from the waitress that was serving us. I was able to book a reservation online through Open Table and we were set for the night!
