City Tacos - Phoenix

Good food here! Nice size dining area so you're not crammed in next to a lot of other people. A really assortment of salsas as well. Try the carne asada street tacos on corn tortillas.

I was very excited to go here... drove 20 minutes out of the way to get there... I really wanted some good street tacos.... It smelled great outside with the smoke but then we walked inside... it smelled like a sewer... I should have left right then but I tried to convince myself it would be okay ...we could just get it to go.... Got the food to go... One chicken taco, and one carne asada taco, it was terrible. .. I usually eat a lot more than that but because of the sewer smell inside I decided to only buy two things and figured if I liked it I would go back and get more.... There was nothing fresh about any of it, the meat was very fatty and chewy. My wife got a bean tostada that looked like it sat on the shelf for a month. She also got a shredded beef burrito with beans... It smelled terrible and tasted funny... She couldn't even eat it had to throw it in the trash after one bite that she spat out. I am not sure how they got all the good reviews but it was bad... The pic was taken right before it went in the trash.... Disappointing.

This was my first visit to City Tacos and loved it! My tacos were great and the burro my daughter ordered was huge! The prices are very reasonable. Their salsa/condiment carts were the best! I definitely will go back!

Delicious! Fun atmosphere.Edit: second time there, the food is AMAZING!!! The last at the counter was very friendly and polite as I completely botched the Spanish words I couldn't quite figure out., but I totally recommend the quesi birria so so yummy!
