We couldn 't afford to eat there week after week, but for a more special evening, it 's a lovely treat. The warm brie appetizer is delicious, and if you 've never had really good, creamy brie, this is a perfect place to try it. The salads are carefully thought out and each one has a perfect combination of ingredients. I had one that featured fresh figs and it was superb. For our main courses I had a fresh fish that was baked very delicately. It was excellent and left me feeling sated but not too full (very important, since I like dessert). My companion had meat which was cooked exactly as ordered. We ordered creme brulee and a pear tart for dessert, and both were the highlight of our culinary week, at least. The restaurant is in an historic house, and the atmosphere is lovely and intimate. The service was top notch, friendly, and although this restaurant is somewhat upscale the style of the service was casual and unassuming. Coup de Tartes is worth the trip and although it makes a small dent in your wallet, it 's worth the price.
