Csalt On The Beach Restaurant and Bistro

We waited over an hour before we enquired if our order was ready. The garlic bread was then quickly brought to our table. Half an hour later 2 of the three meals were brought out. About 15 mins later we had to ask again about the other meal. It was close to 2 hours for all our meals to be served. The food was very nice but it was a shame about the long wait. To be fair, we were given a free dessert and a small discount.

We shared a dips and bread plate and a Fisherman's basket and they were both excellent. Plenty of bread with the dips and the chips were fantastic.

The food is delicious, but the service is non-existent. It was very disappointing. I would recommend not going on a Thursday night, as they prioritize their $10 bistro meals over other customers. They forgot to take our dessert order, resulting in a $40 loss on our bill. We will not be returning.

This restaurant was very mediocre. If they can't even cook a simple chip properly, that's a red flag. The oil temperature was off, there was too much batter on the calamari, and the John Dory was overcooked. The salad on the seafood platter was warm from being placed on top of hot seafood, and the same issue occurred with the oysters and smoked salmon. However, the staff were excellent and very accommodating. It's a shame that the food doesn't live up to the service.

I absolutely loved that I could celebrate my 50th birthday here in November 2020, the staff were extremely helpful accommodating my requests . The food from the bistro was absolutely delicious . The calamari n chips , roast of the day was pork n veggies, hamburger n chips were so juicy. Huge portions and piping hot. Everyone that came said the food and atmosphere was just perfect. I especially loved the service from everyone eg management, the bar staff , to the cook of the bistro and wait staff. Would highly recommend this coming here to celebrate. Thank you so much
