Mount Airy Tap Room - Philadelphia

The drinks at this restaurant are fantastic, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is amazing! I have visited several times, and have found that the service can be inconsistent — some servers are a little abrupt, while others are very friendly. That's just the way it goes sometimes. One thing I would love is if dogs were allowed in the patio area!

Food is fine, wait staff is attentive. Owner (Rob) is incredibly rude, especially to children. We will not be returning to this “neighborhood” establishment.Kid-friendliness: Not at all

I had a great experience at this restaurant while on a date. Our server Greg was excellent, along with another server, a young woman who was very attentive. The fish and chips were delicious, with fresh and juicy fish and perfectly crisp fries. We also tried the Parmesan truffle fries, which were well done (just a bit more cheese would have been nice), as well as the po boy. We even tried the Brussels sprout appetizer, and despite not typically liking Brussels sprouts, they were surprisingly delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The drinks were great and the food was good, but the overall experience at the restaurant was unpleasant and unwilling. We had planned to order food through door locks (as Google suggested for takeout), but ended up waiting outside for over 20 minutes at the designated pick up time of 7pm. When the food still wasn't ready, we decided to go inside and order drinks. Our food finally arrived at 7:52, and the bartender (or possibly the owner or manager) made a comment about not ordering from a third party when our original plan was just to pick up the food and go. Despite the passive aggressive remarks, we decided to support the business by purchasing four drinks while we waited. The overall experience left us questioning whether it was worth supporting this establishment at all.
