Cooks Family Diner - Philadelphia

This charming little diner offers wonderful food. The fries are freshly cut and cooked to order!

The service was quick and friendly. The food was satisfactory and offered at a very reasonable price, although it could have used a bit more flavor.

I tried the Prime Rib Special, and it was fantastic! The potatoes were authentic, and the prime rib was cooked to perfection. I can't wait to return for the Cookies and Gravy Special!

I have to give this restaurant a five-star rating. It's a newer establishment with beautiful furnishings, ample seating, and great lighting. I believe it's family-owned and operated. For breakfast, the portions were very generous, and the prices were reasonable, so there’s nothing to complain about. Everything was perfectly cooked, and there were flowers on every table. The service was good at my table, but I did notice a local resident approach to ask for more coffee—perhaps that’s because he’s a regular? I plan to return until I have a reason not to, and if that happens, I’ll update this review.

The Cook's Family Diner was the first restaurant we visited after moving to the area in 2009. My two young children, aged 5 and 2 at the time, and I fell in love with their homemade macaroni and cheese right away. The Friday Fish Fry and Steak Special are our family's go-to treats for special occasions because they are simply fantastic. Last summer, I had brunch and coffee with a lovely friend from church, and we both appreciated the great selection offered.
