Brauhaus Schmitz - Philadelphia

We were scrambling to find a place to watch the Philadelphia Union game and found this place on the Union website. It was just what we were hoping for.

My favorite German style bier hall in the city, Brauhaus Schmitz has a great atmosphere, great food, and an even better selection of great German beers. Great spot to watch sports, especially soccer. I really like the Gemusespatzle but I intend to try a lot more of the food. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and talkative. I hear they host a great Oktoberfest too!

Wide selection of authentic German beers and some of the best German food I've had in a long time. A great choice if you're hungry and maybe a little worn out on IPA heavy selections. Parking: Parking ain't great (authentic Philly experience) Uber pickup was super fast though. Kid friendliness: It's a beerhall.

The schnitzel is out of this world!!! So is the German Beer selection! Favorite restaurant in philly!

My wife and I visited after seeing it described as a beer garden on Google. While it's not exactly a beer garden, the selection of beers is outstanding! The service was excellent as well. We're planning to return.
