I think that was 'has. it was a beautiful place, but gigantic: 3 different restaurant rooms and a large beer-garden, not used as it was november. but there was only one other table. the service was in order, young staff, but although we had only one piece, it was with its side the price of a whole geese somewhere else and if so, nothing special, but I felt it like a total demolition.
We had an annual extended family dinner and 20odd, in the age of a few months to mid 80, sitting on 4 large tables. for us foreign visitors we wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the white asparagus period and my wife...has a large part with cooked kartoffels and sauce hollandaise, with a large part of juicy ham. Unfortunately, quite a lot of Spargelspins were pretty hard! the native among us had a lot of carvings, wobbly roasted and the like all very large and pleasant! most of us drank softdrinks and beer. they have a nice selection of digestants and I could convince some of my neighbours to accompany me in a few. After lunch we went for an hour around the lake and then came back for coffee and cake. the service was very friendly and timely.
We stopped at midday and sat inside for cold weather. the service was excellent, and the decor was elegant. I ordered the Hungarian goulash, which was amazingly delicate and tasteful. I recommend this restaurant.
We have been to the Seehaus twice recently for dinner with our young adult children and have enjoyed very good food served graciously in a relaxing open air atmosphere. A little off the beaten path of Pforzheim about 15 minutes outside the centre along a...beautiful winding road through the forest just past the Wildpark. It seems to cater to all types of families and events. I was especially pleased to have my meal adjusted to respond to my lactose intolerance which I hadn't specifically mentioned and yet the waiter understood from the questions I was asking and took the initiative to make a recommendation. The desserts were just as good as the mains and the wine list was also quite acceptable with an emphasis on local labels.
Only that there is no change in the supplements I did not find so good. would have liked bratkartoffel for the swirl roast the rest was excellent! here they always eat well! a compliment in the kitchen and the waiters!
