Palette Bistro - Petoskey

I’m still waiting for my water because our server never replaced it after I found something floating in it. The food was just okay, but it took an incredibly long time to arrive. We didn’t receive great service, and from the very beginning, our server was quite condescending when we chose not to order drinks. During our two-hour visit, the server checked on us only four times, mostly due to the fact that our food came out after an hour and a half. When we asked for the dessert menu, we had to remind her about it 45 minutes later, and she brought it to us reluctantly. Throughout our interactions, she rolled her eyes and had a judgemental attitude. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but our server treated the tables next to us with a noticeably different demeanor. We remained polite and didn’t create a fuss, but when we tried to be assertive about getting our water in a timely manner, we were met with poor treatment. I am extremely disappointed with the service and how we were treated.

We stopped here for the incredible outdoor patio spaces and happy hour. We chose the upstairs patio where we had excellent service and the best cosmo in town. Highly recommend and we can?t wait to come back and enjoy dinner inside with incredibleviews of the bay through the huge windows.

I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner at this restaurant. The food was decent, but everything took an unusually long time to arrive. The children’s meals were served last, which was unfortunate. The pizza was extremely salty and nearly inedible. On the positive side, the drinks were well-made and strong. The view from the restaurant is stunning. As for the service, it was just okay—staff weren’t particularly friendly, but I realize we were part of a large group. I plan to return with my wife for a meal just the two of us and will update my review based on that experience, as I understand that a rehearsal dinner might not reflect their usual service.

The food was delicious, served promptly, and exactly as everyone had ordered. The service was outstanding; the team was attentive, quick, friendly, and accommodating. It truly felt like we had the entire restaurant to ourselves due to the level of focus they gave us. The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the high quality and generous portions of food, as well as the exceptional care we received. We never felt rushed or like we were overstaying our welcome. Thank you, Palette Bistro, for making our special day during COVID so much easier and memorable. Ordered the forest floor soup and it was great. Served hot, tasted great. Crab cakes were good, complimentary potatoes were cooked perfectly. Acorn squash, quinoa was cooked excellently, lamb was great, and the curry sauce really topped it off. Pricewas in line with the quality of the food and service. Not to mention the view was great too.
