Souvlaki Pit aka Ace Submarine

We went to Peterborough for boating and since we all like Greek food we decided to eat there although my husband thought Fish and Chips across the road may be a better place. We ordered food and they said they won't take credit card, we used ATM machine, ATM machine says it takes only credit cards to withdraw money, credit card company charged a lot. When we were paying, the old lady at the cash asked where we come from, my husband answered Toronto, we paid, when we got home my husband noticed that she charged around $5 for a smoothie which we didn't even order and the place was not busy at all, so we don't think it was a mistake, she realized we are not locals, so we won't go back for $5, when I asked where's the washroom she barely can talk, she just pointed the finger to the direction, toilet was not flushed after people using, I almost threw up. Then the young lady who serve the food was so rude, she look at you always like an intimidating way when I took 3 trays instead of one, we ordered 3 meals. All together it was the worst experience ever.

The owners are truly wonderful and genuine people that really care about their customers. We all received good value. The location is ideal being near the water

It's a shame that with food so good (although lacking lately - 1 single olive on my Greek salad!!!) has no idea how to price their menu! When asking for prices they were all over the place and none of the prices I was given matched the menu??!! For this reason I will not be returning. Unfortunate because the food really is good.

You can tell when you walk in this place is family run, authentic Greek food. Really tastes amazing and they have a nice menu with lots of choices. The interior is a little dated, but who cares - the value is what makes this place shine. Premium food at a great price.

Another classic local restaurant, my family has enjoyed this place for generations. An often entertaining family run restaurant, there is all kinds of character here. The food is to die for and the portions are enormous. Great place to pop in for lunch or to grab some dinner on the way to the local music festival across the street in the summer.
