Good food quick service Good value meals with a good selection of drinks at low price. Been to Pub on many occasions both on my own with others. On rare occasion having to send meal back due to different parts not being hot. Steak at this time appears of good quality but had different experience of quality of steaks in other Spoons pubs. Good amount of seating area outdoor balcony upstairs. Staff appear friendly and helpful.
We tried two Peterborough Weatherspoons on the same day, and this probably came second. The kitchen was out of action, although the range of beers was up to the usual high standard
I made the mistake of coming here for a burger. Paid £8.55 to receive the smallest burger I’ve ever seen that was dripping grease down my hand and a small handful of chips. The burger contained no relish, no mayo, no salad, just a light sprinkle of old looking leuttice. This Wetherspoons is so bad that when my plate arrived it looked empty (see photo). What am I paying for? You should go to McDonalds or KFC where you get more for a fraction of the price.
26/2/23 Sunday afternoon We three middle aged guys from a London are in the area for a Monday morning funeral. The day before we explored Peterborough on a cold sunny Sunday and needed a drink. Looking up TA I found this to be the more traditional pub building and award winning! The pub was busy when we arrived with a convivial crowd. On going to the clean toilets upstairs I passed the outdoor terrace. I noticed expensive LED string lights were on in terrace which was empty on a cold sunny day. Tim might appreciate their being turned off during the sunny day! The signs explained no vaping or smoking at all which is a welcome relief for those of us who do not like to be smoked out whilst attempting to get some 'fresh air '. The real ale line up was impressive as it included Three Porters!!! Titanic (4.9% , Black Jack (4.6% and Nimbus (4.4% which were all very tasty and well kept. No wonder this is an award winning branch! We left happy to explore the town a little bit more.
