I would avoid being served by 'Kerry ' She has the worst attitude I have experienced! Not sure if she was in a bad mood or tired but the customers and staff were sure getting the rough end of it. Also over heard her speaking about how previous guests came in to eat and 'were all this and that ' 'making her run back and forth ' causing her to think it was okay 'to spit in their food and watch them eat it '! Will not come back or go in if she is there...then again I 'm wondering if I 'll go back again because that sort if behaviour rubs off on certain staff members is they think 1 has gotten away with such nastiness

When to the upstairs restaurant was given menu on menu seniors £8.80 states small cod chips side and tea or coffe ordered food ok when I got the bill £10.45 I said it say small cod chips side and drink £8.80 told no sides are extra I said not what it said on the menu you gave me told very sorry but the menu wrong not my problem I will be contacting trading standards as this is miss selling pointed it out to one of the owners who said sides are extra pointed out that's not what your menu says never go here again last time my wife and I went we had haddock which was lovely in oast but now is very small new owners I understand avoid use to be a good place not anymore

Can’t fault the chips these were really good! The battered haddock was the worst I’ve had anywhere. It was small and the fish had no flavour at all. The batter wasn’t crispy and was actually a little soggy. I didn’t think it was possible to make it so badly. £1.15 for a roll and it wasn’t buttered. The staff were poor. Ordered from the canteen area to eat in and the service was extremely slow. The server then called another table over to collect our food order. Would be understandable if they were busy at the time but they’re weren’t.

We frequently visit Parrotts and always enjoy their delicious fish with light and crispy batter. Our only complaint is that the portion size of the chips is too large for us. The curry sauce is outstanding and unlike any other we have tasted. The staff are always polite and efficient.

The food was outstanding. This is the best fish I have had in a while - the batter is light and crispy. The staff are also very friendly and pleasant. This is now our preferred fish and chip shop.
