Frankie Benny's New York Italian Restaurant Bar Peterborough

We had a fantastic dinner out for Mother's Day at Frankie & Benny's! We ordered a full rack of delicious ribs, a perfectly cooked Margherita pizza, and I enjoyed a beef lasagne with a side salad and fries. The lasagne was amazing and a generous portion. The desserts were also fantastic - a cheesecake, chocolate fudge brownies, and my personal favorite, apple crumble with custard. We were completely satisfied! The staff at this Frankie & Benny's location are always attentive and provide excellent service. While we do miss some of the larger menu choices that have been removed, we understand the reasons behind it. Prices have gone up, but that seems to be the case everywhere. Compared to Wildwood, where we dined tonight, Frankie & Benny's is far superior. They also have a great vegan menu.

I would not recommend this restaurant unless you have vouchers or money-saving coupons. The prices did not reflect the portions that were served. I ordered the "New York GIANT" pizza, expecting it to be larger than the others due to its higher price, but it was the same size as the regular pizzas. The garlic bread I ordered for my daughter had a burnt bottom, and her waffle dessert was served cold as if it was pre-packaged. Overall, I was not impressed and would not return in a hurry.

The food was delicious and the restaurant was very clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was quiet when we visited, which was a pleasant surprise. I had never eaten here before, but I would definitely consider returning if I am in the area.

Okay, so visited yesterday evening with my daughter and one of her friends. The front of house staff were amazing and I couldn’t fault them. Starters were nice, the girls had pizza each for main which they loved. I went for the spicy meatballs. Hmmmmm spice? No kick and no spice. The tagliatelle and sauce was good but it’s clear that the meatballs are frozen, defrosted and added. Four small and cold meat balls. Kind of ruined my meal. The girls loved the deserts. So, I’d recommend sticking to pizza but then with so many pizza options, why eat there?

Today myself and 7 others visited F&B after many years of avoiding them because of negative experiences previously. The service and food were spot on this afternoon and Jess is every customers dream. She is attentive and very professional indeed. We are definitely booking again as long as she is working. Double thumbs up!
