I went to this restaurant with two friends for our yearly reunion and we all had fantastic meals. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was convenient for us as we are scattered across the UK, but if we lived closer, we would definitely go back. The only downside was the noisy group downstairs at Charters.

I went to this restaurant with a friend for lunch and we decided to order half a duck with pancakes, which is her favorite dish. The price of £23.50 for a small portion of duck was quite high, especially considering that it was dry and overcooked. Despite being the only customers there during lunchtime, the quality of the food was disappointing. Along with the duck, we also ordered noodles (which were bland) and prawns (which were delicious), as well as drinks, which brought our total bill to over £80. For this price, I would have expected much better quality. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the experience, especially since I frequently dine in this area.

Food was amazing. Worth a 2nd visit. Unfortunately we booked online BUT it hadn't logged thier end. Perhaps you should ring instead. Didn't get coffee when we asked. Maybe brush up on service. Outweighed by the food though.

Location, views and yes the food. What a great place. Parking can be awkward though. The swans drifting by just topped the evening. We ate food we wouldn't normally try and we were not disappointed. Nice flavours, nice staff.

We have used this restaurant for many years and the food has always been excellent. We have been looking forward to the end of lockdown when we and our friends could visit again. Upon receiving an email saying that after 12th April they were providing a delivery service we decided that was our Saturday night dinner of choice. Placed an order on line, put in our address only to be told they do not deliver here even though we are only four miles away. It’s a shame as we then found Chu Chow Chin who delivered within 40 minutes, the food was fantastic and about 2/3rds the price. Sorry East, you have lost an up until now loyal customer who has in the past made many recommendations.
