Lombardi's Bbq Deli - Petaluma

My wife really loves this place. Eats food from here at last twice a month. Myself, I find the food to be mediocre. The pulled pork just didn't do it for me. Not enough of something or too much of something else. I can't really put my finger on it, but it just wasn't up to par with me. The owner needs to try my pulled pork lol. Other than that, its a great place and they have many other options. I just need to find one that I enjoy.

Come here for the barbecue, not for the sandwiches. My daughter and I have swung in here yesterday on the way home from a basketball tournament. Wanted to share with her an authentic delicatessen sandwich. Making a great sandwich starts with the bread, they miss the boat here. We ordered sourdough roll and we got some kind of soft, store bought generic bread. Bit of a letdown.Second key to a great sandwiches getting the order right. I had my doubts when the person who took our order over on the phone didn't read back our order. My sandwich got cheddar cheese instead of smoked cheddar and my daughter got turkey only instead of half turkey, half salami.Third key is equal distribution of veggies and meat. My sandwich had most meat on one end leaving a bread sandwich on the other side.Lombardi's has great BBQ and used to have great sandwiches. If you're looking for a good sandwich try Michaels sourdough instead. Pass unless you get the BBQ.

Good spot in Petaluma area for BBQ. Wish I knew about this spot earlier, as I have been visiting Petaluma for years. There is no indoor seating, but there is seating outside. You order at the counter inside, which has all the Fixin’s to go with your meal. The folks behind the counter are great at what they do and quick. If you are in the area, and looking for BBQ, give this a shot. Will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Stopped in because a friend recommended it based on review by another friend. Happy I did! When you pull into the driveway, you see picnic tables and chairs all over the front grass area and in front and side of the entrance, where you place, pay and pick up your orders. Small but efficiently laid out, they have everything to make a BBQ meal into a feast. Wine on one wall, salads (potato, pasta, macaroni, bean, caesar, traditional, etc. on another, and anything cold liquid on another wall and deli case and ordering on the front wall. Menu behind the deli case. Specials posted where you place your order. Just an old fashioned deli that BBQs up a storm. Everything BBQ is available. I tried the tri-tip, baby back ribs, chicken and salmon. Got them all with sauce on the side so I can add to taste. Worked out perfectly. Gotta say, it was pretty darn good. Yes it was lip smackin '. Yes it was delicious, tender, tasty and I 'll-be-back-for-more good. It 's not cheap but it was well worth every bite! If you like BBQ, you 'll love this place. Now get some!
