Della Fattoria - Petaluma

Very nice, we’ve been several times for brunch and lunch experiences, which were always phenomenal. The dinner service has a different feel. The hostess sat us (we arrived early at 5:45p for our 6pm reservation, party if 2 celebrating our 12th yr Anniversary). The odd experience was she alerted us that the tables are reserved for 7:30p and she hopes we understand we would need to enjoy our meal by then.

Every person in our party of seven loved the food. A real celebratory atmosphere, good service, and our large group was able to enjoy our conversation.

It took 3 and a half hours for dinner. Food was good and the waitstaff was excellent. the food took too long.

The restaurant accepted my reservation request and when we showed up, it was closed and appeared under construction!

We eat here regularly but found this meal to be somewhat dull. The menu was heavy and not as focused on seasonal produce as usual. The pizza was good but very oily, as was much of what we ordered. The caprese salad was great but tiny. Four slices of tomato with mozzarella on top. The various staff repeatedly tried to take dishes before we were finished, didn’t replace silverware or plates or refill water. That bothered me more than an off night of food. There was a large party at the front of the room so perhaps that threw off the staff.
