Contribuiți la feedbackThis place is amazing. The smoked mackerel is a must try as this was my favourite dish even though personally I do not like eating fish. Their gnocchi was a pasta of the day and it infuses Indian flavours in it which made the dish very interesting and special. The housemade spam katsu was perfect as a starter and the coconut panna cotta is a fantastic finisher to our meal. On top of that, our waiter was very friendly and helpful with drink recommendations. Definitely worth a visit!
Nice quaint cafe for a quick lunch. Was fully booked for Sat brunch. Only seat available was really near the entrance but it's alright for 2pax. House rice bowl chicken juicy and skin totally edible it's thin and crispy not the fatty type. Rice has a nice bite to it. Served with cold boiled eggs which I thought was strange at first but enjoyed it in the end. Chicken chop looks like the same chicken used for the house rice bowl. Dumplings I find a little floury. Latte is good. Service was good they keep coming to refill water. Like it that they used long bench as seating so we ladies can put our handbags/ shopping bags.
Taste: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambience: 3/5 Price: RM432 Number of pax: 5 Went here for dinner with high expectations after numerous recommendations from people. We ordered the Sourdough with Butter, Steamed Egg Custard with Mapo Mushroom, Charred Local Vegetables, Pasta of the Day (Tagliatelle with Mushroom Ragout), Market Fish of the Day (Sea Bass), Half Gula Melaka Soy Chicken, Pork Shoulder and desserts. The food was so so. The steamed egg custard had a good texture but the mapo flavour was too strong. The pasta was quite bland. The chicken was tender and cooked quite well, but the gravy that went with it felt too diluted and didn’t taste good. The pork shoulder was quite alright but a bit too overpriced for the portion that was served. The fish was actually quite nice but towards the thicker part of the fish, we realised it wasn’t cooked properly. However, they were quick to serve us a new portion and even gave us a complimentary dessert Brûléed Figs with Yoghurt. That was quite good. We also ordered the Coconut Panna Cotta which was not good. It had the consistency of a jelly instead of a panna cotta. They also informed us that we had only 1.5 hours to dine which we felt was a bit rushed as some of the mains took about 20 minutes to prepare. The seats we sat at were rather uncomfortable too, too tight for 5 pax. Best item of the visit: Charred Local Vegetables Will we return: Probably Not Follow us on Instagram @mealtimeagain
Modern dining using only the finest seasonal and artisan ingredients. Would rate this an overall 4.5 thanks to the impeccable service where the waiter explained each dish with so much care and knowledge of the ingredients. We started our meal with the pork toast that was a bit salty but the homemade chilli mayo balanced out the flavour well. Didn’t care too much for the dumplings as the skin was a bit chewy and the filling too porky in taste. I had the House rice bowl where the hero is really the Sarawak lawas rice that was paired so well with the crispy boneless chicken thighs that was so juicy and tender. Had a taste of the chicken chop which was divine with the perfectly roasted potatoes that have been cooked with duck fat as it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The tagliatelle is home made and cooked almost like Pan Mee with X.O pork mince. We also ordered the Pork Belly Char Siew for sharing that would have been better with rice. Love the fact that the menu changes according to the season and their breads are home made from their sister restaurant next door.
Among those foods we have tried here, I personally quite like the smoked mackerel, it something like new taste experience for me, the pasta and chicken chop also good, honestly I’m not fancy at this kinda fusion but overall should be above average especially the service was so attentive, good
