Ittico - Pescara

We were looking for a fish restaurant in Pescara when we found Ittico online and here we tried to book a table, but all the tables were apparently reserved for weeks, so we decided to see if there was room in person. When we arrived, to our surprise the restaurant was empty. They seated us and we ordered wine and appetizers. The problem arose when they brought us the wrong dish. I tried to get the waiter's attention but he was busy cleaning. When we managed to get his attention he told us that there was nothing he could do because the kitchen was closed. We arrived at the restaurant at 9.30pm and it was around 10.15pm, and the restaurant closed at 11pm. I understand that the restaurant was empty and that they wanted to close early, but there was no interest in making sure that the dishes were right and everything was fine. The only interest, 45 minutes before the place closed, was cleaning. We sent the dish back and the waiter told us he would remove the dish from the bill, but he didn't. Ultimately the service ruined our experience. The waiter continued to tell us that we had ordered wrong. The food was great but I wouldn't recommend the place based on how we were treated. Visited as a tourist and was told that items were out of stock, understandable with a Sunday. Then saw orders come out after I had ordered with the exact item for parties that arrived after I had. Avoid if you are a tourist but ok in a pinch. Then they added a bit extra on our bill trying to think we wouldn’t notice. Now a classic in the center of Pescara in the goods area. The fish aperitif is highly recommended as it allows you to taste a wide range of delicious typical dishes at reasonable prices.
