Chipotle Mexican Grill - Peru

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. I recently dined here and ended up with food poisoning. The quality of both the food and service has been declining for quite a while. It's safe to say I won't be returning anytime soon.

I wish I could rate this place higher, but the quality of the meat they use is comparable to dog food. The carnitas I had tasted more like a greasy piece of soft steak, and there was an excessive amount of fat and tough chunks of meat mixed in.

The Peru, IL location is a complete disaster. The front desk worker, Claudia, was rude and had food all over her hat. You forgot to include my steak in my order! I had to drive back 25 miles just to get my meat, and there was no compensation offered. They were out of everything by 7:00 PM—no sour cream, no cheese, no salad, and no white rice. This was my last visit to this location for sure! To top it off, the restaurant was a mess; food was falling from her hat all the way to the floor. There was even a couple waiting for their food while I ordered. They should have cleaned up or prepared fresh food. This location is terrible, and despite giving it several chances, I just can’t keep coming back. It's consistently a mess!

Girl at the counter was polite enough nice child..from 12.00 for a Burrito? no chips drink? It was okay, but not writing at home. ma n pa food trucks have more authentic a ca. 4.00 cheaper

Always a great place to get something different. I recommend the bowls (any of them). There is a unique taste and simplicity to the Chipotle food that appeals to health minded people.
