Country Road Cafe - Perth

Well what a surprise. Tucked into the back of the Country Road store on Murray St is this quirky little joint. I had the eggplant and zucchini risotto and my friend had the red lentil dal, both plates ready for the dishwasher by the time we were done. Veg and vegan-friendly options.

I always do a lunch drop in here. Never disappointed, food is wholesome, filling and just a touch of funky. Service is fast and I can always get out without leaving my wallet behind.

We've eaten at Country Road cafe many times over the years and it's consistently a nice lunch. The venue is beautiful, with a lovely well-shaded outdoor courtyard hidden away from the bustle of the city. Today we had the sweet potato pie and the pasta of the day (eggplant and snow pea with tomato and sweet chilli sauce) and the carrot, apple, lemon, mint and parsley juice. The meals were very tasty, and if you can believe it my pasta is an entree size! (Only $12!) The only downfall of country road cafe is that the menu never changes. 5 years ago I was eating the sweet potato pie, spinach and pine nut pie, red lentil Dahl, antipasto platter and roast veg salad and they're all still on the menu. Sure they're great dishes but it would be nice to change things up sometimes. Saying that, we will keep coming back! I love the great range of vego food and just generally healthier ethos of the place.

Vegetarian cafe hidden between alleys and shops. I think I've seen more ladies hangout in this spot and I personally have only come here a couple of times for girls catchups. Their food is really lovely and the daily specials always stay interesting. Juices are always so fresh and all up just a cool little place to hang out away from the office.
