Balti - Perth

This review is based on food only as takeaway is the only available option at this time with the pandemic Ordered the butter chicken (tasty), yellow lentils with spinach (very good), garlic naan (good) and saffron jeera rice. Dishes were all flavourful, good quality ingredients and reasonably priced. Complimentary pappadums were a nice touch. Would recommend if you’re looking for good Indian takeaway.

Beautiful food. Everything amazingly good and service great. Starters were both really large servings. We shared everything and only had 1 naan and 1 steamed rice between 2 and that was still more than we needed. In Entertainment Book so excellent value. Plenty of vegetarian options.

(M &B) <br/ <br/ Pros:<br/ <br/ As it is an Indian restaurant, there are many vegetarian options to choose from.<br/ <br/ Some of the classic curries are made very well here like their Tarka Dhal, Baingan Bharta and Bhindi Masala and it is definitely one of the better restaurants we have been to.<br/ <br/ Cons:<br/ <br/ It is in the city so parking is a problem. If you go here on weekdays you may not have as much trouble but, on the weekends, parking is a pain.<br/ <br/ The menu at the Indian restaurants gets boring as it is the same in every Indian restaurant so, there isn’t anything special served here that is not served elsewhere.<br/ <br/ The entrees are overpriced and the quantity is small.

I am writing this review a bit late, but I have really fond memories of this place. Balti is a well-known restaurant in Perth. I usually don't eat Indian food outside of India because it tends to be bland, but the Indian food I had in Perth and Cairns was just as flavorful as what you would find back home. We started with Lahsooni Murg Tikka Seekh Kebab and Chicken Tikka Masala for appetizers, along with Garlic Naans and Cocktails for the main course. The staff was attentive and the service was excellent, ensuring our food was served hot and on time. The flavors of the dishes brought a smile to my face - the marination of the tikkas and the spices in the curry were perfect, as were the breads. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, dining out in Australia can be expensive. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience at Balti!
