Contribuiți la feedbackAs we walked into this Inn my husband felt he had visited the hotel before but couldn’t work out when. Then the owner arrived and we realised the inn had featured on a TV documentary. We received a warm welcome from the owner Jay(? who was full of fun and reserved a seat in the cosy bar by the fire. Our room was so comfortable, clean and creatively decorated. The views are over the loch and the outdoor garden is a beautiful place to absorb this scenic area. Delicious food and wine followed by a cosy evening in the snug. Books, games a difficult room to leave. Amazing breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and very good coffee.
The meal was lovely, with excellent staff and a beautiful setting. We enjoyed a bread basket, main course, and coffee. The main course was generously portioned and we were too full for dessert.
I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The menu is creative and diverse, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, including some from the hotel's own garden. The lamb I ordered was incredibly tasty, and my husband raved about the steak pie with chips. The strawberry pannacotta was refreshing and delicious. The wine selection was excellent, and the views from the large windows were breathtaking. Overall, a fantastic meal with a lovely atmosphere.
A pretentious man at the bar gave us attitude when we asked to split a bowl of soup between two of us. He said it couldn't be done for a silly reason. I was disappointed that the restaurant, calling itself an "inn," didn't have draft beer and I had to settle for an expensive lukewarm canned beer. The coffee only had one mediocre dairy alternative. The views and location were beautiful, but I would recommend avoiding ordering anything from the bar as it was not worth the money.
A truly relaxing overnight stay, great base for cycling, walking etc. A comfortable stay at the Inn- friendly welcoming staff, great food, calm interior of a quiet bedroom/en-suite, super outdoor garden with beautiful views over Loch Tummel…ideal for a short break! Definitely recommend!
