Cocotte et Cie - Périgueux

On a small square, there are a couple of restaurants, including cocotte et cie. Despite the holiday season, there were almost only locals having lunch. We had the fois gras as a starter and confit de canard as main. It was really good, and only €20 (in total). Just go there when you are in Perigueux!

Had lunch here today. Although they were about to close, we were still welcome. Fairly priced menu, with delicious dishes, including some local specialties.

Visited with my 12 yr old daughter, so so welcoming and we both adored the food , a great attmosphere!

We've eaten in both Cocotte et Clie's - they are both consistently great - tasty well made dishes, and helpful service.

Cocotte remains our 'local' favourite situated in our of the old town squares in the medieval town of Perigueux.Simple and unassuming with mostly outdoor dining, it serves french cuisine that locally inspired i.e. Perigordine focus on canard and boeuf.Our favourite is the duck confit which is stewed leg of duck that's then pan fried to perfection with a generous helping of frittes cooked in duck fat resulting in a crispy texture.Finishing off is a variety of desserts with the homemade caramel rice pudding topping our list!
